Marco Schmidt founds regioWerk with WiReGo investment<\/h2>\n

Marco Schmidt wants to set new standards for climate-related skilled trades with his business idea. regioWerk is the first full-service agency for renewable energy in the region and beyond. From planning to commissioning, it provides coordinated services from a single source for both electricity supply and heat generation. He also wants to support local skilled-trade companies with heating-load calculations and 3D system planning. It is a future-ready concept that prompted Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung Region Goslar GmbH & Co. KG (WiReGo) to make a silent investment.<\/p>\n

\u2018Through its equity fund, the Goslar district supports promising business ventures with a so-called silent partnership,\u2019 explains WiReGo Managing Director Dr. J\u00f6rg A\u00dfmann. \u2018What Marco Schmidt has planned stands out clearly from existing offerings in this field. The funding increases his equity share for the startup.\u2019 The equity fund<\/a> is available both to new ventures and to investment projects at established companies.<\/p>\n

Trained heating installer and building services engineer Marco Schmidt discovered his passion for renewable energy early. When photovoltaic systems were still uncommon, he had already specialized in this form of energy generation. Yet despite working for various manufacturers and system providers, he never found complete satisfaction. \u2018The question of what future energy supply could look like drove me,\u2019 the founder says. \u2018Nobody could offer me a solution across systems that suited building owners’ circumstances.\u2019 \u00a0<\/p>\n

After many years in sales and management roles at providers of photovoltaic and heating systems, the 48-year-old became self-employed on 1 April this year. \u2018My experience lets me provide individual advice and planning across manufacturers,\u2019 he says. \u2018Customers’ needs and possibilities come first for us.\u2019 From balcony solar systems to intelligent, future-proof energy supply for homes and commercial properties, regioWerk offers integrated planning, advice and installation. Its focus is on quality and safety. This is achieved through the use of German and European products, which is becoming increasingly important for data security, and through needs-based advice tailored to each customer’s situation and possibilities. The company also has a partner network and cooperates with qualified skilled-trade firms in the region to carry out projects. \u2018Both WiReGo’s startup events and its investment have been essential to the success of my venture,\u2019 Schmidt says.<\/p>\n
