Valentin Hauser’s passion for his work is clear when he talks about the real estate agency he founded in 2022. He chose self-employment despite, or perhaps precisely because, the property boom had already ended. He loves challenges and sees changes in the real estate market as an opportunity to take an entirely new approach.
‘The days of simply putting properties online and selling them immediately are over,’ the energetic estate agent explains. ‘Today, success takes creative ideas and a strong relationship of trust.’ He brings both. Hauser had already worked as an estate agent between Goslar, Braunschweig and Wernigerode since 2016. At a well-known company, he managed three branches and was responsible for more than 20 employees. His extensive experience and network are valuable as he builds his own business.
WiReGo guided and supported him through the startup process. He broadened his knowledge of business planning through the startup modules. With help from WiReGo team member Julia Lorenz, he wrote his business plan and successfully applied for startup funding. To this day, the founders’ meetups remain an important opportunity for him to exchange ideas and expand his contacts.
He has steadily built his business over the past few years. On 1 August 2024, he opened the first Valentin Hauser Immobilien branch in Goslar at Bäckerstraße 24, right in the pedestrian zone. Together with three employees, Hauser wants to bring innovation to the property business in and around Goslar. He plans to expand the team and, in the longer term, add two branches in Braunschweig and the Wernigerode/Quedlinburg/Halberstadt area.
Asked how he plans to stand out from the many competitors, Valentin Hauser answers confidently: ‘We combine traditional estate agency with the possibilities of the digital world.’ His team therefore puts customers first and handles each case individually. Credit checks by an external partner, when appropriate, give sellers reassurance and show buyers that the process is serious. A database records prospective customers’ main wishes so suitable offers can be presented to them exclusively. Digitized floor plans that show possible furnishings, known as ‘digital home staging,’ and drone photographs make property listings more appealing and informative. Yet Hauser sees his most important distinguishing feature as ‘heart and mind’: he wants to win people over with passion, trust and a strong focus on customers.
