Whether you are a prospective founder, a startup or a business looking to expand, good ideas often run out of money. To help prevent that in the Goslar district, the unique “Goslar Region Participation Fund” was launched in 2015. WiReGo supports projects in the district with silent partnerships of up to €30,000 for a term of up to seven years. At the end of the agreed term, the funds must be repaid to WiReGo.
A convincing business concept for the planned company or startup project is essential to qualify for funding. Applicants must also provide some of the requested investment from their own funds: at least €1,000 for capital requirements of €6,000 to €20,000, and at least 5% of the capital required for amounts above €20,000.
Your advantage: the participation is treated like equity and can therefore improve your credit rating in financing discussions with banks.
WiReGo also supports and advises your project throughout the entire term. “At the outset, around €300,000 was provided by the Goslar district and WiReGo’s partner banks for this unique form of funding in northern Germany,” says Dr Aßmann, WiReGo’s managing director. The aim is to make the capital available again and again for promising projects through sound financing decisions and repayments.
