Success through empathy and uncompromising honesty

Resilience, stress management and self-care: Lena Katharina Haspel coaches on everything that helps people grow stronger.

When life feels like a dead end, the daily treadmill never stops or important decisions lie ahead, an outside perspective can help. Coach Lena Katharina Haspel offers that perspective. In one-to-one coaching at her Goslar practice and in seminars, she helps people find their own solutions for a less stressful, more fulfilling path through life.

The 41-year-old trained midwife and social anthropologist had offered advice and coaching alongside her job for several years before turning her passion into her main profession in August 2024. ‘My previous work showed me there was a need,’ Lena Haspel says. ‘That gave me the courage to become self-employed.’

As a Break-through Life Coach, a Spanish NLP-based qualification, and a specialist in stress management (IHK), she focuses on people’s well-being. Her topics include burnout prevention, resilience, self-care and career development.

She offers useful preventive programs through in-house seminars for public administration, companies, care staff and emergency workers. Her clinical experience as a midwife and time as an administrative employee provide the practical foundation for her seminars.

One-to-one coaching focuses on very personal issues. Haspel particularly enjoys seeing some clients make real progress in just a few sessions. Her strong empathy and, at the same time, uncompromising but well-intentioned honesty help make that possible. ‘People who already have therapy experience often come to me because a small prompt can help them in their current situation,’ she explains. ‘I listen, ask unusual questions and use coaching tools so my clients can find their own solution.’

Haspel benefited from WiReGo’s offerings on her path to self-employment. Taking part in the startup modules and Startup Day, receiving advice on her business plan and, above all, accessing the broad network have been valuable to her business success.

After living in Berlin, Cologne and on Lake Constance, the Goslar native returned home with her young family in 2020. She wanted to settle in and feel at home again. As a mother of two, she also cares deeply about combining family and work. ‘I know from experience how difficult it is not to become trapped by daily routines,’ the coach says. ‘To stay sane, taking breaks and actively winding down are especially important. Meditation and yoga, the classics, help me do that. Personal development goals and learning matter to me as ways to find calm in daily life.’

She is now moving ahead with enthusiasm and commitment to find more clients and plan her events.
